Remi
A faint line is still a line. Most confusion comes from timing and reading, not from the test trying to “tease” you.
The Rule That Saves Sanity
If the second line appears within the reading window, treat it as positive and confirm properly. If it appears after the window, ignore it.
Why Lines Are Faint
There are three common reasons:
You tested early and HCG is still low.
Your urine is diluted.
You read it in bad light or after the time window.
Evap Line vs Positive Line (Simple Version)
Evap lines usually appear after the window and often look grey or colourless. Positive lines usually show within the window and often have some colour, even if it is faint.
The 48–72 Hour Plan
If you will retest, retest with a plan. Wait 48–72 hours. Use morning urine. Set a timer. Read within the window. Do not test five times in one day and call it confirmation.
Also, do not use line darkness as a health score. Use it as a signal to get proper confirmation.
When To Seek Help Immediately
Get medical help if you have sharp one-sided abdominal pain, heavy bleeding, fainting, or severe dizziness. Do not wait for “one more test.”
