If you took Postinor 2 and your mind is running, you do not need another thread. You need a plan.
First: What Postinor 2 Does and Does Not Do
Postinor 2 is emergency contraception. It reduces the chance of pregnancy after unprotected sex. It does not protect you from STIs. It is not regular contraception.
What To Do Today
Do these in order. Keep it simple.
1. Confirm you took it as soon as possible after unprotected sex. Time matters.
2. If you vomited soon after taking it, speak to a clinician or pharmacist about what to do next.
3. Do not stack random pills “to be safe.” That is how people create new problems.
4. If you are on other medications, ask about interactions instead of guessing.
What You Might Feel This Week
Some people feel nothing. Some people feel a few of these symptoms. Both can be normal.
Nausea.
Fatigue.
Breast tenderness.
Mild cramps.
Spotting.
These usually settle. The key is severity. If you feel very unwell, do not wait.
Your Next Period Is The Main Thing
Your next period can come early or late. It can be heavier or lighter. Many people panic because they expect their cycle to behave like nothing happened.
The plot twist is that cycle changes are common after emergency contraception. That is not automatically a disaster.
When To Take a Pregnancy Test
Testing too early gives you drama, not clarity. If your period is late, test. If you are still unsure, retest a few days later.
Get medical help immediately if you have:
Severe abdominal pain, especially one-sided.
Very heavy bleeding.
Fainting, severe dizziness, or weakness.
Fever or feeling very unwell.
If This Is Happening Often
If emergency contraception is becoming a pattern, you deserve a better system. Consider discussing regular contraception options with a clinician. It will reduce the stress cycle.
